Nice disclaimer

Telling someone not to rate a flash video based on the animation is like a hunter refusing to take responsibility for missing his target and shooting someone. The comedy was lacking, about as badly as the animation. Try mimicing events from your life that were really strange or funny. You should also really consider using voices instead of blaring boring generic foreign techno songs. Keep working on it, but scrap this whole idea with the pickle jar.

hypersonicx123 responds:

well thanks and don't worry i've got a WHOLE book of comics i made for ideas lucky eh? and most of them are life experiences! but i'm gonna start voicing them and remember this idea isn't entirely mine it's also about my friends to

Lots of room for improvement

Pros:
your animation was smooth
good choice of music
Cons:
Screen was tiny
presentation was boring
lack of imagination

try coming up with characters, and a storyline. Noone wants to see your first experiment with a flash animation if it has nothing interesting to offer. Sit down and think about something that would make a cool little story or a funny joke, and bring it to life. Keep trying and you will succeed.

xedon responds:

I didnt mean the screen to be that tiny but oh well's.
I am thinking about sorys and joke's :p

Greatest thing since since R and L buttons...

I watch this one at least once per day. My wife and I recite the whole thing (which we are getting better at). Your work is amazing, and so full of charms that I can't begin to describe how "awesome" it makes me feel. Keep up the good work.

Awesome

Good gameplay, neat idea, awesome music. The music kept the pace fast, and fueled the need to rush... I liked it.

Interesting

Creative. Most VG remixes put a more advanced sound to a song, but this is the opposite. I like that you brought a NES element to a SNES game song. Kind of reminds me of what Nintendude does. Good work. I would like to hear more like this.

EdgeHypermatter responds:

It's pretty much all I do, so that won't be a problem. Anybody with talent and a decent audio composing program can make a song more advanced. I have neither, so using my free NES sound program, I bring songs back to 8-bit.
Actually, there are plenty of people who are better at this than I am, but most of those people stick to NSF format. I could never reach their level of perfection, so I share 8-bit with the general public, while they all stay together in their little club, playing with their obscure audio format.

Thank you

More phenominal music from you. I too like Apoptygma Berzerk. I especially liked the cover of metallica's Fade to Black they did. I really think your talent is more than you realize. I am your fan.

SkyMarshall responds:

And I am sure honored to have you as one :)
Thanks for the review. And yes, Apop is one of the best within the Darkwave/electropop ... been a fan for 15 years now :)

I do understand

I have been high on cough syrup, and this reminds me of the onset of drinking two bottles and hiding in the backyard waiting for it to kick in. There is a queazy feeling in your stomache. You are starting to feel cold all over, but not shivering. Your mind is getting very paranoid. The sickness sets in further. You are thinking you are gonna puke. Somehow you managed not to, and now you are getting tracer vision. The coldness is going away. It is being replaced with a warm feeling and now you can swear that your hearing is becoming more sensitive. You have a clear hightened awareness. Your mind is loosing its rationallity. Now confussion is setting in. The sickness is all the way gone. Your heart rate is at somewhere around the same tempo of this song. Now you are fealing quite powerful. The rollercoaster ride is just about to start. You are on the upward ascent of that first big hill where the fun really starts. You are at the greatest point... The Apex... Slowly going over. Now you are on the hellish, freakishly intense drop into the full trip that is the consequence of your actions. You don't really even have control of your mind or body. You are simply the observer, who is watching the will of the drug being done through you. You can speak, but noone can really understand what you are saying, and you know that you can't either. How can you describe this feeling you have? The words won't come. Who are you? Not really sure, but you can see yourself down below you. Suddenly you are back in your body. Now you have bigger things to worry about. The bad stimuli of some strange real life dramatic event is now taking place. It is centered around you, but you can't tell what is happening. He/she wasn't supposed to show up to see you like this. Somehow this always happens. What terrible timing. Suddenly they are gone. Where did he/she go? Did this really happen? Things seem to be calming down. Now the next say 3 hours is simply a gentle slope downward that eventually ends up right back into reality. It leaves you feeling like shit, and unable to sleep for a long time. You have some interesting stuff to talk to your friends about at school after the weekend is over, or what you can remember of it anyway.
Don't do this during the week when you have stuff to do.
Thanks for the Nostalgia.

tijnn responds:

Hahahha funny thing is, i never tried it, but this was insprired by a true story of a friend of mine who did all kinds of stuff on his DXM trip, might even have eaten a chair or something lol.
